Spring

Spring has begun

when songbirds come

and hatch their young.

Spring has begun

when birds feed their young ones

just caught earthworms – yum!

Spring has begun

when you hear bees hum

under the beaming sun.

Spring has begun

when laundry's hung

out in the open.

Spring has begun

with fresh new scents sprung

or when skunks surprise someone.

Spring has begun

when yard work is begun,

though it feels like a ton.

Spring has begun

when flower bulbs open.

Many bringing pollen.

Spring has begun.

Earth hums

with fun.

Spring has begun.

Is any season

more welcome? None.

God has begun a good work in you

and He will bring it to completion, too,

for your life's history

plays a part in His story.

Yes, it's true, God could have chose someone else,

but He chose you, with your one-of-a-kind help,

to be His ambassador from His family of faith

filling you with His love, joy, peace, faithfulness, and grace.

So remain strong

in the face of wrong

and let God, who has already begun a good work in you,

use you to show others His way is faithful and true.

Forget the former things;

do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up;

do you not perceive it?

I am making a way...

Isaiah 43:18-19

Being confident of this;

that he who began a good work in you

will carry it on to completion.
