GLORY
An angel of the Lord came to earth
to announce Christ, the Lord's, the Savior's, birth.
When the angel appeared, "glory" shone all around
as the dark night was illuminated with this bright light shone
for God's presence had become manifest
to the shepherds, becoming quite obvious.
This angel announced "good news"
bringing "great joy" for all who
would also give glory
when they believe God's story.
Giving God glory
should be our life story.
Suddenly more heavenly hosts appeared
praising God and singing "glory" without fear.
Loudly they proclaimed to the shepherds: "Glory to God in the highest,"
giving praise to the one true God and Lord above the rest.
Glory and honor and power
was bestowed to God that hour.
Giving God glory
will dissipate worry
for the two cannot co-exist.
Useless worry has to exit.
Worry slowly erodes faith.
Giving God glory grows faith.
Whenever God's presence is manifest
darkness becomes light, it's obvious.
There's a change of heart and mind
for God gives sight to the blind.
Spiritual sight
brings delight.
God has a plan to heal the brokenhearted.
In time those who mourn will be comforted.
Beauty and joy and praise
will occupy your days
when you are able to give God the glory.
It will become your life's joyous story.

Giving God glory
instead of worry
will change your attitude
to one of gratitude
for God will reward
when His name is heard.
Worry is doubting God will provide.
It causes ones to doubt, not abide.
But when you give God the glory
He'll replace any worry,
for God will always bless
when His name you confess.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them,
and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them...
"I bring you good news of great joy
that will be for all the people..."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host
appeared with the angel,
praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest..."
Luke 2:9-10, 13-14
You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.
Revelation 4:11
...bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners...
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve... -
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:1-3
