Company

My company from Mexico return year after year.
I can't wait for them to arrive for to me they are so dear.
From the sky
they now fly
but not on a plane,
and not in the rain.

They start their long flight in the early spring.
Travel miles on a prayer and a wing.
The wind assists as they float along.
Those who see them might burst into song.
They bring cheer to everyone who sees -
to young and old and especially me.

Now they make not a sound
as they float to the ground
seeking good nutrition
from blooming attractions.
Today they stop for a rest.
Purple flowers they like best.

My company is monarchs.
They're dressed in their very best.
Orange with black stripes
bring me delight.
When they arrive this year,
I'll let out a loud cheer.

I really do have friends in Mexico.
They are missionaries, Gwen and Marco.
You might add them to your prayer list
for prayer is more than just a wish.

Prayer changes our perspective.
It's believing faith that's active.
Prayer helps us to hope
when it's hard to cope.

Prayer will seek God's will
through valleys and hills.
Prayer can change our situation
from bleak to one of salvation.

Prayer does make a difference
when someone is indifferent.
Prayer brings peace of heart and mind
when someone has not been kind.

Prayer is available all through the day and night
bringing peace from God so we do not live in fright.
Prayer is developing a personal relationship with God
so we always have a constant companion on the path we trod.

Prayer is sometimes the only solution
as we rely on God's plan of action.
Prayer strengthens our faith and grows our trust.
Believing faith, trust and hope are musts.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present our requests to God.  And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4:6-7
