Haying It

Once a season I "hay it."  After allowing the grass, which is mostly weeds, to grow tall, I bag this green nitrogen to give the vegetable garden a boost.  After today's forecasted rains and this boost of green nitrogen, there should be a surge in growth although already happily climbing, running, budding, spiraling, blooming.

 Butternuts

Pole Beans

 Tomatoes

Beets on the right, Carrots on the left.

 Peppers

 Potatoes

 Cabbages

Green Roses spiraling round and round.

Forgot to take photos of zucchini and summer squashes and cucs.
There are also volunteer grape tomatoes and currant tomatoes.
Plenty of sunflowers within this fence, fortunately,
as deer and rabbits chowed down on most outside the fence.

See how the farmer waits
for the land to yield its valuable crop.
