WELCOMING MORNING 8/29/22

Around 6:15 this morning.  The sky was pinkish.

(Photos did not load in order.)

Perennial Hibiscus:

Reflections:

My favorite toy appears in many photos.

Angel Trumpet (wintered over in basement).

Cosmos (planted from seeds).

Mexican Sunflower (planted from seeds gifted).

Two colors of Rose of Sharon:

Birds plant sunflowers each year.
Grows well in enhanced vegetable garden soil.

Wonder if seeds crossbreed or seed dropped from neighbor's feeder?

Zinnia seeds planted mid-May to entice butterflies during migration.
Due to drought, not many zinnias and not many butterflies.
Colors were vibrant this morning.

Love the flowers within the flower!

Morning glories originally planted on south side.  Always consumed by deer.
Birds planted on west side of vegetable garden.  Now invasive.

Dahlias are beginning to bloom.  Seems like a long wait,
but remembering my grandfather passed in October.
His dahlias were at their zinnith then.  Worth the wait.
Most of mine were gifted.

Begonias (wintered over in basement).  Two were gifts.

Birds are abundant due to seed stash.  Second bird in background.

See how the farmer (gardener) waits

for the land to yield its valulable crop

and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.
