Pink, pink, my world is pink:

Heavy rains on Monday knocked over most of the zinnia patch.

Sunflowers multiplying.  Seemingly enjoying this rainy summer.

Happy to see butternuts.
Hopefully will remember to tent butternuts and cucs next season.
Especially since cucs climbing sunflowers are doing so well.

Sad to see and smell vegetable garden dying down already.

Vines are giving up, except potato plants are still green.  Hopefully not affected by a rainy summer.

The free/volunteer butternuts behind the garage are the biggest ones, of course.  Will cut off tips of vines soon to encourage fruits to grow.

Had to pull up most of summer squash and zuc plants due to squash vine bore.  Need to research on how to treat.

Previously rabbits chowed down wax beans, carrot tops, beet tops.

Tomato plants fell over due to heavy rains.  Being eaten by moles and slugs.  Ugh!

Doesn't seem to be the year for cabbage plants.  Have composted two already due to decay.  Others are just not performing normally.

Pepper plants are knee high but no buds and few fruits.  Strange.

Happy to see successful year for spaghetti squash.

Cus and tomatoes everyday for lunch.

Pumpkins turning orange.  Crickets are loud.  Autumn is quickly approaching.

For the earth which drinketh in the rain
that cometh often upon it
and bringeth forth herbs fit for him
by whom it is tilled
receiveth blessing from God.
Hebrews 6:7
