5/16/18 Morning Stroll

 This leaf lettuce self-seeded from last year.

Alliums getting                                                                     ready to bloom.

 Late night unwelcome visitors.  They left this hosta alone.  Will spray tonight.

Love variegated foliage:  snow on the mountain, lungwort, hosta.
Snow on the mountain from my Great Aunt Sophia.

TY Lesley and Denny for the lungwort.

Hosta shared by mom.

                                                                                Euphorbia

 Raindrops on Ladies Mantel

New growth on Pieries Japonica.

 White crab apple will bloom soon;
aka my buzzing tree as a hive of bees will descend.
Will take time to listen to their chorus.

Blue and white annual forget-me-not blooms
remind me of my friend Sandy
who shared years  ago.
Now everywhere without mulch,
there are these dainty flowers to watch.

Japanese Maple.  TY Lesley and Denny.

Azalea will bloom soon.

Enjoying the dogwood.

A sunny day will open these lilac buds.
Between the bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, lilacs,
it already smells quite perfumed outside.

Yesterday this squirrel was eating lunch under its tail umbrella.
Picture through screen door.
Thankful one less black walnut to dig out later this summer.

Just spent two hours weeding out maple seedlings.
As the Carpenters sang,
"I've only just begun."

The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11
