Thank you, Ruby, for your Johnny-Jump-Ups,
mixed in with pansies.
They certainly are welcoming!
Purple, purple...my world is purple:
allium, wisteria, lilac, pansy.
A niece was married in April.
Her bouquet was dogwood.
I looked up the meaning.
White dogwood means purity.
There is also Christian symbolism associated with dogwood.
In part, it's the shape of the cross
and the center represents the crown of thorns.
Much more to be gleaned re your Christian inheritance.
Do take time to google.
Two azaleas in bloom this week:
Love the God-given intelligence of God's many creatures.
Arbor garden looking south:
After this morning's heavy rains, it was time for brunch.
Several rabbits seen in my yard today.
Did cover strawberry bed with netting yesterday.
Will cover bed of lettuce also.
Happy this squirrel was consuming maple seeds.
A few less seedlings I'll need to eradicate.
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provision in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8
