Afternoon Stroll 5/18/18

Azalea
Two 80 degree days beckons buds to open.

 Surprised the deer haven't investigated.
TY Jane for your gift years ago.

Agula:  purple and pink taking over front yard.
Learned to ask characteristics of gifts.
Ground covers are invasive.

Under the picture window:  hostas under the magnolia.
TY Pat's sister.

 Learn to appreciate foliage:
Cransbill (above), MeadowRue (below).
Cransbill, another ground cover.

 Sweet Woodruff, another ground cover.

 A field of annual forget-me-nots:
(Thank you, Sandy, your gift multiplies abundantly.
And thank you for being there to
multiply my joys and divide my sorrows
these past 40+ years.)

Dogwood
Take advantage of the pretty blue sky as backdrop.

 Bleeding Hearts:

Lilacs

Spring is in the air.  It's quite perfumed outside.

White Crab Apple, aka buzzing tree, bloomed today.

Wonderful surprise to see wisteria beginning to bloom.

Dandelions visited by bees also.
Too quick for me to capture.
Dandelions will be mowed down tonight, dispersing seeds.

Was able to devout yesterday to organizing yard.
Though not even half done,
compost pile grew waist high.
Worked in the sun, then the shade, then the sun.
My favorite toy, the wheelbarrow and I, had fun!
Goal is to finish what's mandatory before making changes.
Divided more plants to donate at annual plant sale.
Beware:  no one tells you that nature's arithmetic is multiplication.
When you think about it, that's God's arithmetic:  multiplication,
for God's blessings are abundant.
The gazillion x gazillion x gazillion maple seedlings
are so darn frustrating, as the definition states.
And based on experience, will need to be redone.
Spring flowering trees are in their glory right now.
Appreciating before the rains return.
Saw the vegetable garden is pale green with sprouting dill.
Sunflower seeds sprouting in vegetable garden as well.
Yes, nature's arithmetic is multiplication.
Be sure to look for your many blessings from God, the Creator.
