Morning View 5/19/18

Took photos this morning as a rainy day and dandelions are sleeping.
South side near house.  Already weeded and edged.

Looking south.  Tree stump visited by Squawky - pileated woodpecker.
Tree stump surrounded by snow on the mountain.

This bed is most pretty come July.  Weeping cherry finished blooming.

Herb garden.  Annual herbs will be planted in pots.
Designed like wagon wheel.
Center hub will contain something tall, surrounded by chives.
Garlic planted center front.

Left side of arbor garden.  White crabapple in bloom.
Lesson:  do not plant flower garden under trees that produce seeds.
Forever pulling out seedlings.

Center of herb garden.  Wisteria started to bloom yesterday.

Right side of herb garden containing red crab apple.

Looking north.  Zinnia seedlings in front of this bed.

Woodland garden not yet weeded of a zillion maple seedlings or edged.
Will begin on a warm afternoon as under shade.

Like the brightness after rain
that brings the grass from the earth.
II Samuel 23:4

  1. Made progress weeding and edging today. Think next time I'll work in the front as only two areas left in the back. Will save the woodland area for when it's too hot. Serenaded by the birds and purposely listened to the drone drone in the white crab apple. Tried to capture on video but too many background sounds - birds, lawn equipment, traffic.
